Workplaces that may contain hazardous substances include manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport, utilities, and office environments. HABC offers a regulated and international qualifications which provides learners with the knowledge and skills to recognise the risks associated with hazardous substances and how to control them

This qualification has been developed for those who work in areas such as manufacturing, cleaning, healthcare, transport and office environments, who may come into contact with hazardous substances.

Topics covered: These include how risk assessments support the safe use of hazardous substances and the effects of exposure to hazardous substances. Assessment method: The qualification is assessed by multiple-choice question (MCQ) examination. Successful learners must achieve a minimum pass mark of 9 correct answers (60%). Learners who achieve a pass mark of 12 (80%) correct answers or above will achieve a Merit
